Happy Birthday Logan, Ella, & Tylre Shae!

Logan's 6th birthday party was Saturday at Missy's park.  After the park we went and celebrated my friend Sara's little girl Ella's 3rd birthday.  Then Sunday we went to my sister Missy's again for Tylre's 18th birthday party.   It was a fabulous weekend filled with friends and family.  I can't think of a better way to spend a weekend.  It's picture time.

Logan blowing out his candles!  The cake was a chocolate mouse. Totally yummy.

I want the big piece in the center of the cake.  The center is always my favorite.

Logan loves cars. Big or small cars it doesn't matter.  I love the look on his face and how he is looking at Jaidyn.

Counting the dough.

Classic Logan face.  Sweet shirt dude.

Logan got the nicest BMX bike.  He is such a stud.

Another classic Logan look.  Kids snatching up all the candy on the floor.

Rob, Caleb and I playing on the playground at the park.  Caleb wasn't to sure about the slide.  He wanted to get down because I was at the bottom, but didn't want to go down the slide to get to me.

Ella is a lucky 3 year old.  She had a petting zoo in her Grandma's front yard.  Caleb loved the Lama.

My sweet sweet boy.

Caleb was so tired by the time we got to Ella's party.  He didn't care much for the bunny.  A moment after this picture was taken a duck quacked very close to Caleb and he made a gasping noise and then started to cry.  They ended up putting that same duck in a cage because a lot of the kids were scared of it.
I'm not a huge fan of ducks myself.

Classic George Ferrin face.  Caleb has it down.

Crawling all over the place.  He loved the grass.

Happy 18th Birthday Tylre! Round TWO (inside joke)

We had to open a door because of all the smoke. haha jk

Tylre reading her cards and racking up the cash.  I want to invite all the people that come to Tylre's birthday to my birthday party this year.  I could use the dough.  Nice toothpick Jaid.

What's up with the toothpick?

Allyson, Jaidyn, Huntre, Tylre, Trever & Logan!

Okay who is Trever going out with?  Huntre you are crazy.

Like I said, "Huntre you are crazy!"

Umm enough said.

Not a happy camper.  Cute though.

Cute jam jams.

Just chillin on Missy's couch.

Tylre I love you!  You are an amazing, sweet and lovely young woman.  I'm so lucky to have you as my niece.  I've loved watching you grow up and I still can't believe you are an adult now.  You will always be my little Shae Shae.  I'm so proud of all the decisions you have made in your life. You bring a smile to my face every time I see you.   Thank you for being you.  Happy Birthday!

Happy NINE Months..

23 lbs - 75th to 90th percentile
29 1/2 inches tall - 75th to 90th percentile
18 1/2  head circumference - 90th percentile

Caleb had his 9 month check-up today with Dr. Leiferman.  He is a beautiful and healthy baby boy.  During his check-up our pediatrician informed me that Caleb was a VERY LOUD little boy.  Caleb does not enjoy having the Doctor poke and prod him in anyway.  So of course he makes that very known by THROWING A FIT.   Dr. Leiferman told me that he examines children all day long and Caleb is one of the LOUDEST SCREAMERS he has come in contact with.  I knew Caleb was LOUD, but I didn't realize until now that he was in a LEAGUE OF HIS OWN.  Luckily he is a very happy baby and we don't get to experience many of these episodes during the day.  I love my little man.  Daddy and I are so proud.

Caleb and I have been attending a mommy and baby group at our local library on Thursday mornings.  I'm having a blast watching him socialize with other little kids.  He loves to watch other babies and he also loves taking their toys and touching their faces.  We sing songs, read  books and we play games during our play group.  He doesn't want to just sit on mommy's lap, so it takes some creativity to keep him close by.  He usually just sucks on a rattle that they have or crawl around and check out everyone else.  I love this one on one time we have to play and sing songs.  It's nice getting out of the house and making new friends for me and Caleb.  Caleb loves BUBBLES. They have this amazing bubble maker that fills the room with tons of bubbles.  Lots of fun.

Tooth #2 made its grand appearance on January 19th.  It's his bottom left.  It looks like his top two teeth will be coming in shortly, but they haven't cut through quite yet.

Caleb walks along all of our furniture and he pushes toys, chairs, boxes and anything else he can move around the living room and kitchen area.   He is crawling up our stairs, so we have a gate that we keep up all day long.  As soon as it comes down it's the first place he darts off to.

Caleb clears a table faster than anyone I know.  I'm not talking about eating either.  He throws everything off a table onto the floor.  It's actually pretty funny to watch.

He loves to give himself kisses in the mirror and he also gives mommy lots of kisses.  He is very stingy with his kisses so he doesn't kiss anyone else, but mommy.  Yes this makes me feel like the most special person in the world.

PHOENIX ZOO!

Caleb was obviously ecstatic at the idea of seeing caged animals!!!!

So tuesday morning Alexa dragged me to the zoo with Caleb.  It turns out animals are cool! It was more fun trying to get Caleb to see the animals then actually seeing them ourselves.  Walking through the entrance he was making a funny noise when he inhaled like he was so excited "uuuhhhhhhh and then he  started headbanging like he was at a Metallica concert.  Daddy's little boy!

The highlight was the monkey that was showing off and of course the tiger because tigers are COOL

Caleb getting up close with real wildlife.  I think the duck was more interested in Caleb than Caleb was in the duck.

All in all a good way to spend the afternoon.  I'm sure we'll be back since we are now season pass holders.  Here he is our experienced safari man.

Our Little Humpty Dumpty!

Caleb received his first war wound today.  He was such a brave little soldier.  Instead of stitching him up Dr. Lieferman used this amazing glue that keeps the wound clean and closed.

We were at Grandma Melanie's home today playing.  Having a fun old time when Caleb decided to walk around the brick fireplace and splat he went down hard.  He caught his left eye right along the brow line smack dab on the brick.  It sliced his eye wide open and bled all over him and me.  Head wounds sure bleed a ton.  I stayed calm because I knew my mom would be doing enough worrying for the both of us.  Funny how that works.  Anyway, I picked him up and wiped off the blood as best I could.  We gathered up our belongings and my mom, Caleb and I headed over to Tiana's just to get another opinion on if the gash was deep enough to need stitches.  As soon as Colton and Tiana checked it out they knew right away it was.  So, we headed off to the pediatricians office. My mom sat in back with Caleb and made sure the blood didn't go in his beautiful blue eyes.

First of all, let me just say I love my pediatrician's office and I love Caleb's doctor.  We were able to get in right away thank goodness.  My mom decided to come back to the room with us, but she wasn't sure she was going to be able to stay especially if Caleb needed stitched up.  She doesn't like to see her grandkids hurting.  The doctor checked him out and sure enough it was a deep cut.  He asked that my mom and I hold him down while he cleans him up and puts the glue on.  He also told us how important it was to hold him tight so that the glue doesn't get into his eye.  We didn't want his eye glued shot.  At that time a nurse walked by to see how he was doing and I asked her if she could help hold Caleb instead of my mom.  My mom was looking like she was going to faint at anytime.    It took about 1.5 minutes and Caleb was looking almost good as new.

Luckily the cut is in his brow line so it should heal beautifully with little to no scarring.  Plus the Doctor said the glue is best used on the face because it tends to heal cleaner.

Caleb was such a trooper and he truly is an amazing little boy.  He is 8 1/2 months old and already has his first gash.  I'm in trouble.

Just a side note.  My dad is putting up rubber railings or something around the brick this weekend, so this kind of incident won't happen again.

This was taken at the Doctors before he was glued back together again.

Another before picture! Mommy was loving on him.

Caleb after being cleaned up and glued back together again.   I love this picture because it shows what a tough little boy I have and also because you can see his ONE tooth.

Happy Birthday Lauren Paige!

My adorable niece Lauren turns 7 years old on Sunday, January 17th.  We celebrated her birthday a few days early at Missy's.  Tiana made a yummy chocolate chocolate cake and yes I took home the left overs.  I got Lauren a body wash, some soaps & a yummy lip gloss.  I thought it was a nice gift, but she wasn't very excited about it.  She opened it up and then kept looking in the bag and when she realized that was it she just went to the next present.  Typical for her age.

Weston decided to eat his cake like a little piggy!

Of course then everyone else did.  Jaidyn lookin good.

Grandpa Bill and Huntre are so silly.

Lauren got an I-Touch.  She loved it.  It will play songs on her Karaoke machine.

Happy Birthday Lauren.

Rewind! Let's talk about Caleb's 7th month.

We turned in Caleb 1.0 and got back Caleb 2.0.  He learns a new trick everyday.

Caleb's 7 Month Facts:

December 9th - My little man cut his first tooth (bottom left).
December 21st - Mommy and Daddy decided to put Caleb in his own crib.  Mommy cried more than Caleb did.  He loves his fishing room and daddy loves having his bed back.  Since this is all so new to him he wakes up 2 to 3 times a night wanting to feed.  I don't have the heart yet to let him cry through it.
December 25th-  Prince Caleb crawled on his knees going forward.  He has been scooting army style since 6 months, but now he crawls on his knees.
December 28th - My sweet boy got his first cold and an ear infection. Yuck!
Caleb weighs 22lbs and is 29 inches long.

Now that baby boy is crawling he loves going on adventures and he tries to see what he can get into.  Everything goes in the mouth.  Up until this point I don't think we ever told him no.  He is starting to learn the meaning of it now.

His favorite things to play with or put in his mouth are cords, cell phones, Rob's lap top, tv, blinds, dogs food and water, floor plants, shoes, daddy's weights, his brush and comb, spoons, remote controls, books, mirrors, pebbles or small rocks, his jack in the box & his tractor.  He is such a boy.  He also loves the closet mirrors in his room.  He bonks his head on the mirror on purpose and then looks at mommy and smiles.

Caleb mommy loves you.  You bring a smile to my face daily and I feel so blessed to be your mommy.  I love watching you grow and learn.  I'm excited to see what you will come up with next.
